Confronting My Personality Weaknesses
In my profile, three of my weaknesses are downplaying achievements, reluctant to innovate, overburdening myself. These are barriers in my work as a medical radiology technologist. First, downplaying achievements may result in ending up with a less desirable job and missing opportunities for promotion. This is true because when I need to list my strengths for finding a job, I would think I am just an ordinary person with nothing to surpass other competitors. In addition, I always choose the path most people would choose or my family ask me to. My mind tends to live in a comfort zone, so reluctant to innovate is a natural result, which will absolutely hold me back when new technology appears. In terms of overburdening myself, I am not very good at communicating with co-workers, so maybe sometimes I would just take on extra work to avoid talking. However, I am aware that this will have some serious consequences, like being misunderstood and being left with a lot of extra work by colleagues.
Only with a positive work style can I receive positive feedback. This personality test helped me realize my weaknesses more clearly. From now on, first, I will try to make full use of my strengths and be more confident about my small achievements. Second, I will try to embrace and expect new technology, especially in medical imaging. Third, I will practice the communicating skills I have learnt and create a harmonious group without doing extra work very often.
